Berserk is the highest-rated manga on MAL but is it worth it ? Berserk is a unique masterpiece in short if I say. Well, let's found out why it's rated no.1. Berserk is an Action-Adventure Military Horror Psychological Seinen Manga written by a great writer Miura Kentarou. Sadly Miura Kentarou passed this year which was really heartbreaking news for all Berserk fans.
Let's talk about the story and plot of berserk when I read berserk I found it's very creative and unique and basically a more mature storyline. The start of the manga was not that much exciting but after some arcs, it starts getting interesting and better in every aspect. Guts a former professional soldier who was known as the Black Swordsman is betrayed by someone very close to him who is almost everything to him for his selfish desires now he has only one goal to take revenge and there's a twist of demonic beings but the story is not that simple it sounds if I try to describe story more might u get a spoiler.
Now if we talk about character development and art style. The art style is very detailed and Expressive but after the Gold age arc, it goes to another level and makes it almost perfect.
Characters of this manga if we talk about Gut you will get attached to him and his development from the scratch is very good. His competition with Griffith is also exceptional. Berserk is not focused only on Guts every character has an important role and story.
Plus if u are real sensitive you might found some parts of this manga disturbing bcoz it's is full of Gore, rap, torture. It's a seinen well made for a mature audience.
Overall my opinion is that it's worth its ratings. It's a masterpiece of Art, Story, Character by Kentaro Miura that u shouldn't miss. 💯
