DIAMOND NO ACE MANGA REVIEW, IS IT THE BEST ?
Hello, guys today I am going to review a sports manga that most people don’t know about so you can call it underrated. Is this the best sports manga ?? I will answer this question in this review.
Diamond no Ace is a comedy, sports manga written and illustrated by Terajima Yuuji. Diamond no ace started publishing on may 17,2006 and still ongoing the manga is divided into acts. Act 1 ended on July 15,2015 and second act is ongoing. I think there will be a third act too because this manga is about high school baseball, act 1 covers the story of first-year act 2 is about the second year and there are only three years in high school third act will be the last act which is not released yet. Act 1 has a total of 47 volumes with 418 chapter and act 2 has 253 chapters released.
Act 1 has a rating of 8.20 on MyAnimelist and act 2 has a rating of 8.53.
SYNOPSIS :- The story starts with the protagonist Sawamura Eijun throwing a wrong[unique] pitch in the finals of middle school regional tournament causing the Akagi middle school to lose their chance to play at the finals. As the baseball team captain, he feels responsible for their enormous loss and vows to take his friends there in high school. However, with his terrible grades and no school recommendations in his area, Sawamura sulks as he tries to figure out how to keep his promise.
His pitch during the last game surprises a scout from the prestigious seidou highschool from Tokyo. She convinces Sawamura to come to see a practice game at seidou highschool where he gets in an argument with one of their batters that causes him to cross paths with Kazuya Miyuki—a catcher who can pull out Sawamura's strengths as a pitcher. The experience at seidou changes his but he still feels guilt over betraying his friends but his friends convince him to join seidou highschool . Filled with a renewed sense of determination, Sawamura begins the journey of becoming Seidou's team ace and heading for the nationals while carrying the spirit of his former school with him.
PERSONAL REVIEW
PLOT
The one thing I liked about this manga is it shows a different side of sports than other sports mangas where your team is not that strong basically a underdog and you have to become the best team but in this manga seidou high school baseball team is already a strong team and sawamura has to work really really hard just to get on the team and then try to become ace of that team. I personally love the plot a lot because its so different.
For this unique plot 9/10.
CHARACTER
The characters in this show are amazing you will love every single characters in this series. the character development in this series is the best I have seen. Especially our protagonist Sawamura another first-year Furuya and second-year catcher Miyuki Kazuya, you are gonna remember these characters for your whole life.

Not something different about art that I should talk but some panels of this manga are amazing.
ENJOYMENT
One thing I will tell you guys is this manga is very realistic so don’t expect something like other sports mangas. What is so different about this manga that it can be the best sports manga of all time? The answer is the writing of this manga it is next level where you feel every single line in manga and act 2 takes it to a another level I can't even explain in words how I feel when I read this manga when every single line hits you. Is this the best sports manga of all time? Not now, but the way this manga is evolving I can assure you that this will be the best sports manga of all time[if it doesn’t get canceled because of the less popularity]. But this the best sports manga airing right now and there is no competition for this manga. This manga also has an amazing anime adaptation which has 3 seasons with 152 episodes no announcement on season 4 yet.
Overall this manga is for sure a 9.5/10 for me and it gets better with every chapter.
